Beggar Man

No matter the time limit you adhere to, life moves on. Without you. You're stuck. In a place that has long disappeared. What a pathetic waste of man. How sad. For you, not me. Not for anyone but you and you alone. You had potential. Throw it away you did. For what? Nothing. You look a fool. How sad. For you, not for me. Not for anyone else. How pathetic you look. Like a dog. Begging for scraps. A stray scratching at a door. Desperate to get in. Wanting to come inside and get beneath the covers. There's already two bodies there sharing the heat. There's no room for dog. Dog is not wanted. Do you not understand that?! Now you're left out in the cold. No room for you. Don't want you. And yet you scream. And you fight. And you threaten just to get in. It's no use. You're already beaten. By yourself and your foolish desire. How pathetic. How sad. For you, not me. Nor anyone else out there who can clearly see. The shell of the man, you used to be. Disgust me. Sicken me. That's what you do. How sad. Not for me. Nor anyone aside from you. It angers me it does. How shallow you are. My still waters run deep. Too deep to understand the shallowness of you. Too warm to open the door to some beggar dog. And yet, I still awake to crack the door and allow you in. At the foot of my bed where I put you. You crawl under my blanket beneath my warmth. I feed you. I care for you poor dog. Wretched, filthy, creature. NO kindness should be bestowed upon you. But kindness is in me. I am love. Love given and shared. To those who need to take comfort in it. And yet you still disgust me. Sicken me to my core. For you are nothing but a dog begging for a bone that's already been gnawed. You are nothing but a sad, pathetic, beggar man who made himself a whore. In my bed. The place you lie your head. And still you beg for more. Ask for more, where it is that you are not wanted. Stop! Sad, pathetic, beggar man. Stop now, I say! The wasted potential. The tragic road you pave. Nothing but a dog walking the road. Roaming for what seems like years. For something that does not want you. Something no longer yours. Sad, pathetic, beggar man...Where is it your head lays? In my bed. Beneath my warmth. Ohhh! Do count the ways. The ways in which you are sad. The ways in which you are pathetic. The ways in which you beg. The ways in which you have failed yourself. You disgust me. You sicken me. Sad, pathetic, beggar man. You poor disheveled dog. Your journey is on it's last leg. Think about all you have done wrong. Farewell, beggar man. My charity has run it's course and my bed is no longer warm. The chill in my heart grows colder as the days travel along. Sad, pathetic, beggar man...I know where you belong. Outside looking in dreaming of what could be yours. But I'm sorry Mister beggar man, there's nothing inside for dog or for the self appointed whore.
