Begininng

In the begining a long time ago

I could understand the fighting we did

We had to fight in order to survive

We were not our people but a purchase someone made

But now that we are free I just don't uderstand

The fighting and killing hasn't stopped but gotten even worse

That no longer have to kill us with a rope around our necks

We do it ourselves with a bullet in the back

What should have made us stronger and tired of the killing

Has not meant a thing a now and whole race of people are almost gone

Just look round time running down

It's time for peace and sharing in the world

Reach out now and help a brother up instead of pushng him down

Start seeng the glass as half full and not almost empty

Start thnking for yourself and don't blieve everything you see on TV

Just because it glitters doesn't  mean that it is real

Let's get together as a people and build a bridge

Leavig no gaps open to give them excuse to tear us down

We were born from Kings and Queens

But we let one tiny boat ride

Break us apart and take our throne

We have been down for a long time

Don't you think it's time for us to get back up and stand our ground?
