The Beginning
The sight of the children,
The dream in their little hearts.
Someday they'll be the next Kasey Kahne,
Or Scott Bloomquist, even Jimmie Johnson.
It all starts with the drop of a green flag.
Then trucks and trailers all in one area.
The screaming of the cars- Vroom!
The crumpling of sheet metal- Crunch, Crunch!
The fans.
The smiles,
Like opening presents on Christmas morning.
The cheering as the cars go by- Woo!
The feelings.
The adrenaline rushing through their veins.
The excitement in their tiny tummiies.
The rush of race day.
Where it all begins.
