Beginning and Belonging

Stop crying. Dry your eyes.

You didn't know it would feel like this.

Your first day. The first day. Its supposed to feel

fresh

happy

colorful

It feels like an angry wind against your face, everything rushing past.

Moving so fast that you can't catch a breath.

So you gasp for air, and that's alright.

Grow your roots down deep and even that harshest wind cant move you.

You will child, you will.
