Beginning to End

The smell of a new book
The turning of a page
A crease appears in the spine
Chapter One

Meet character A
They have a problem
Life isn't always fair
Chapter Two

They see character B
A wishes they could be with B
B doesn't look twice at A
Chapter Three

B collides with A
A is flustered and stumbles over words
B apologizes and walks away
Chapter Four

They meet again
B helps A pick up their stuff
They engage in a short conversation
Chapter Five

"We have to stop meeting like this."
A laughs at B's words
They agree to meet for coffee
Chapter Six

The coffee date goes well
A gives B their number
B invites A to dinner
Chapter Seven

Dinner becomes dating
A brings B to an amusement park
They win each other prizes.
Chapter Eight

They become more serious
B moves in with A
It's closer to both their jobs
Chapter Nine

B meets A's family
They tease the couple
A's parent's approve
Chapter Ten

A meets B's family
It's not the most welcome of gatherings
They get through it together
Chapter Eleven

B asks A to get married
A accepts
They kiss
Chapter Twelve

The wedding is in the spring
Everyone's invited
A's cousin catches the bouquet
Chapter Thirteen

Sunbathing in Hawaii
Luau's and swimming
The surf lesson was a disaster
Chapter Fourteen

Their two weeks are up
Suntanned and relaxed
They return to their jobs
Chapter Fifteen

Depressing news
They say A and B can't have kids
"There's nothing we can do."
Chapter Sixteen

They cry
It's not easy
It'll never be easy
Chapter Seventeen

Years down the road
They still live together
A and B, in love, until
The End
