Behind The Filter

Everyday, millions of people post photos, "selfies", glazed with a filter. And im not going to lie, i have and still do it too. But who really am i behind the filter? Who am i as a person behind the camera? On my instagram and twitter, people see me as your typical white girl who loves starbucks and who loves cheerleading. All from one photo. But really, i am a girl who loves travel and adventure as well as starbucks and cheerleading. Filters cover up a part of you, and you dont really notice it till after the fact. You use filters to make yourself "appear prettier" but in reality we are all beautiful without the filter. Society tells us that our skin should look a certain way, so we put a filter over our pictures to cover up the flaws and blemishes. We edit and crop. Filters shouldnt define who we are as a person. But yet, they do. We should all take a chance and post a no filter selfie. To show our natural beauty. We as people need to realize who we really are behind the filter. I found out who i am, now, who are you?
