Behind The Filters
With social media
and the needs of things being expedia
We lose ourselves and who we are, but not me.
I love me, I am quirky, I am dorky.
In times of insecurity I reach for that safety blanket, I'll admit,
but I try to break the media mold and summit.
Summit to meeting new people, summit to the uncomfortable, summit to be approachable.
I wanna break the masks we put on and break the ice.
The ice of non-communication, the ice of hashtags and the ice of filters.
So if that means people see me without that inkwell filter
or without the make up and high heels, I'll do it.
I'll do it because I love me, I love my dorky and my quirky,
and I won't let society stop me from showing what's behind the filters.
