BEHIND THE HATE YOU GIVE

We all crave to be special

To be unique

Growing up it was all you were ever told

Dad, saying “you are the best”

Mom, clothing you saying “you are exceptional”

Only to discover you are one of many

Then you meet people who are different

Who stand out

Your jealousy turns into hatred

Tell me is that why you hate me

Or is it truly because of my skin color’

I ask again is that why you hate me

Or is it truly because I choose to love who I want’

I ask you! Is that why you hate me

Or is it because I choose to have a different belief than yours’

Tell me!

Tell me!

Say it!

But you can’t, you had rather hide underneath your blanket of hatred

A hatred which is for no other but you

Cuz It’s our hearts that make us truly unique
