Behind the Mind's Glass

Perched on a cloud

I knock on the door between reality and fantasy

Its translucent panes greet me with delight

Its glass stained so as to be concealed

A refracted image like rippled water reflects from its mirror

A barrier between obscurity and fame

Without thinking I thrust myself forward

Into its vast world of endlessness

Heart fluttering and wide eyed I do not know what to expect

As my eyes open

And it’s gone
