Behind My Eyes

Look into these glassy eyes And try to see this gloomy sight A picture of my damaged life Travel past my eyes to my mind & try to read these thoughts of mine And then you wont ask if im fine Worries pass with time And you dont care These thoughts they stay And your not there You go you stray You think it's hard to handle me Hard for you, its hard for me Maybe if you hear what i hear You'll feel my fear You'll share my terror Know my pain, relate the horror or It wont phase you Either way you are not me Is it possible to speak how i speak To state the words that come to me And we could relate We could communicate But the twisted words They take their form And turn then to defy me But maybe if you felt what i felt Been where Ive been Smelt what Ive smelt Stepped where Ive stepped Knelt where Ive knelt Prayed what Ive prayed And helped when it helped You could say you've treaded my path Walked in my shoes And had what i have The thing is you can't read my mind Cant see in my eyes if im fine You refuse to hear the lies And couldnt walk a straight line behind me if it was drawn by a hand of mine You couldnt feel what i feel Dont dare to reach out and touch the broken pieces of a shredded soul My ordeal is too real, too much I understand you dont understand I get that you dont know The things i hide behind my eyes The pain I just wont show
