Behind my eyes

I hide behind my eyes.

tThey can not know,

all my lies.

I move along though,

and even sing.

Though now and then

It seems to sting.

It is hard when

they won't allow me

to be weak.

They don't dare see,

nor even speak,

the me that right now

I can only be.

As if to give life's bow,

bent, broken, yes that's me.
