Behind my mask

I sit on the side line and watch as my counterparts race for success.

But their success is not my own.

I see they are racing for the same goal.

Yet I have one of my own.

I am not like this generation.

Competeing for likes on Instagram.

Because truth be told I do not give a damn.

But they say that is weird.

It's clear that I am different but that is okay.

I do not let the opinions of others influence who I am.

Instead I sit on the sideline and observe.

Because they are not ready.

At least not yet.

But when I begin the race they will see.

No filter will be a need.

Because everything will be pure about me.

Starting with my bare face and true success.

I am my own person whos success is not the same as this generations.
