Behind my mask

You asked.. "what's the reason behind your mask" To hide from my past. To hide the fact that I'm dead inside This mask is to hide... So i don't have to explain my pain. My fears and all my useless tears. I want to pretend with you. Like I do with everybody else. because that's for the best. because i feel like there's nothing left for me to do. There is a knot in my chest and it won't untie. Feels like everything is going black. because you'll never love me back. So I go and hide. And you ask. "What's the true reason behind your mask" This mask is to hide that I constantly have your name running through my brain. To hide the fact that might have gone insane. To hide the real. To hide how I really feel. I am hiding my feelings and how strong they grew. The true reason why I wear this mask, is to hide that I am in love with you. ©psych0
