Behind this smile is a broken heart

Behind this smile is someone falling a part

Behind this smile is someone who hides who they really are

Behind this smile is a loner sitting at the bar

Behind this smile is someone who waits and prays

Behind this smile is strength and hopes for better days

Behind this smile is someone who is strong

Behind this smile is someone willing to admit they are wrong

Behind this smile is acceptance for who I am and will become
