Behind the Veil

Behind the veil,

I heard

the whispering of your damning.

Leaving the veil,

I saw

your condemning of my existence.

Away from the veil,

I felt

the chilling curse strike true.

You wished

for my final breath,

So I’ll gladly

embrace the veil.
