Being Chosen
For the longest time I yearned for something more
Something was empty inside
I just didn't know why
Until one day I snooped around
Where I wasn't quite allowed
Onto a few papers that changed my veiw
Of me, myself and I
I was chosen, I was wanted
Not by my own, but by another
A lost cub in the wild
Taken in by strangers
Loved, clothed, nutured was I
I was chosen, I was wanted
Not by my flesh, but by another
I sought to find who this could be
Until I need not look futhermore
For she was right in my heart the entire time
Never leaving, always loving
I was chosen, I was wanted
That's all I ever wanted
And now I had
Something wrong with this poem?
