Being a Girl
I love my self, and I don’t need anyone else to love me
When you are born all everyone wants to do is put a dress on you
You get older and all you want to do is look older, paint your face on, fry your hair, wake up 3 hours early to look “perfect”
But are you doing it to feel good, or cause its society that you have been drowned in.
Skinny, blond, long, tall, flawless skin… no one wants a ugly girl.
But what is a ugly girl?
If you ask me “ugly” has nothing to do with the outside. Its what’s inside.
Girls are taught not to be sexual beings, but at the same time to be a sexual being. You are either a prude or a whore
You should look perfect so someone will love you.
But why is it that all boys seem to have the preconception that all girls want a boyfriend, or a husband?
News flash... I am in a serious relationship with myself. I am in love with who I am, I can be in a room with myself and be content, because of who I am, not cause of what someone else sees me as
Close your legs, wear longer shorts, don’t drink, what are you doing.
When a key fits will lots of locks, it’s a master key, but when a lock can fit different keys… it a bad lock
I was once told that if I want a boyfriend I should stop wearing tank tops… People should be able to do whatever the fuck they want because they want to, they should do it and not be scared that the whole school is going to find out, do it because it will make you happy, not what everyone expects of you.
You are beautiful if you are a virgin
You are beautiful if you are a “slut”
You are beautiful if you “cover up”
You are beautiful in every choice you make
Boys are taught to be “slayers” and to go out and get girls, to be a man’s man
Why are girls showed that they should be cookie cutter?
I am not a “feminist” I am a person that does not feel like the “expirations” are not what girls should be treated
Tv, music, celebrity’s…. all taught me to hate myself
But why should I love anyone more then myself
The scrutiny of squeezing myself into the jeans, the 4 layers of makeup that I never realized where offal till I learned how to love myself
I am not going to look how society wants me to so I can belong to someone, so someone can love me and want to be with me when I can’t even be in a room with myself and feel content, want to be with myself, want to love myself, but that I should be out finding someone to claim me as their own if they like how I appear
Do your nails, go shopping, curl your hair, hate yourself, love yourself no one knows what the fuck they want, be skinny, have long blond hair, conform to what you are surrounded by, be popular, date the quarter back, kiss that guy over there, go out with you best friends, do drugs, drink please entertain me… I did all that but what is that I hear, that I am a whore… but I thought that’s what you wanted me to be?
Why should I be told that I am not good enough because my boobs are not big enough
But then… they are to big?
Taught to hate the only skin you have, because it’s not Beyoncé’s
Go love yourself and the rest will fall into place
Hi Love my self, sure I sleep around but isn’t that want you wanted? You make fun of the girls that don’t show enough, the ones that are conservative, you make fun of the girls that show too much, the ones that are easy… now entertain me and explain to me what the hell you want from me… I am not defined by what I where, but my waist line by the silkiness of my skin cause that will all rot away. The only thing that will be left is my sole that I was taught to doll down cause all that mattered was my mole on my face that you didn’t want anything to do with.
Hi l love myself, and no one can do anything to doll my shine, to crush my soul, opps my b, I was myself I wasn’t afraid to show my inners, I didn’t where the shirt you loved cause I wanted to where my sweats, I didn’t want to show my body which there is nothing wrong with, but I wanted to show you who I was on the inside... maybe tomorrow I will where my shorts and crop top, and there is nothing wrong with it. You do it why can’t I
Hi I love myself and I will be myself and embrace every inch of me inside and out and if you don’t want to that’s your loss… Come talk to me when you discover the world of loving yourself
