Being Judged at a Boarding School
Judgement is something I’ve never been quite fond of.
Seems like I’m always the person they don’t love.
I take the path less beaten but get the same work done in the end,
Yet I’m found on the path without being liked or without a friend.
I was judged as soon as I unpacked my bags at Foxcroft,
I was judged as soon as I took off my nametag at Foxcroft.
Not blending in and following the crowd,
But not just being annoying or being really loud.
I do as I’m told and expect it the same for everyone else,
So why is it that recently that for others, the rules seem to just melt?
Yes, I do what I’m supposed to do when I am,
Where are the rules, what’s this scam?
Don’t you expect a room to look a little messy during final exams?
I try my best, but I don’t spend all my time organizing and micromanaging like you,
Yes, I clean up and do my laundry, but I really have more important things to do.
Unlike you, I have quizzes, tests, and everything under the sun,
When everything you do is just dorm parties and fun.
I get it, maybe my corners a little dirty,
Every time I check my email, there’s something a little wordy.
I know I’m no Thomas Edison,
I know a lot of things, plus this,
How am I so pissed?
Probably because they wouldn’t let me take my medicine.
Sorry, sometimes I just can’t control my bowels,
I’ll make sure to cure you out without the vowels,
Because Semin was in bed on time,
Please don’t make our bedtime nine.
We try real hard, and always pass,
So why are you such a pain in the ass?
We are Room 2, and here we stand,
With a vacuum and trash bag in hand.
