being in the library for four hours

I have this ideal,
This unattainable goal;
If I could make it real,
I'd finally feel whole.

These times alone I enjoy,
I mean no deceit.
But solitude I'd gladly destroy
To make this experience complete.

All I really desire is conversation,
Lectures deep and compelling.
My exchange-starved days are aberrations
Leaving a yearning that's more than telling.

Challenge me, teach me, make me think!
Make engagement more than a suggestion.
Enrich me with your view, make my world shrink;
I cannot ask these books questions.
