Being a Server


There’s a waiting line at the door…tick!
There’s a family of seven, three kids…tick!
There’s no more juice...tick!
We just ran out of tomato…tick!
Kid number two just spilled his soda…tick!
Food is taking forever…tick!
People are getting annoyed…tick!
They don’t like their food…tick!
They didn’t leave a tip…tick!
Table is a mess…ticks!
TICK! TICK! TICK!
Go outside; get some air, deep breath…relaxed.
Go back inside.
There’s a waiting line at the door…tick!
