being smart, took a pain in my heart

Poems are a way to help people cope

Many people don't know how to write them

Sometimes it gives them hope

Or after writing them, they feel numb

Reasons for writing is because it's calming

For me it keeps me sane

Or even it keeps them from falling

I use it as my second name.

I see no end in sight

I am afraid it will be forgotton

It feels like I could fall down a flight

of stairs right to the bottom

Sometimes I can't write what's going on

It feels too personal to write down

I have to pretend I'm writing a song

I could possibly have to leave town.
