Being a Teen

When you finally muster up enough courage to step off the school bus

there are so many things to worry about no adult wants to discuss

societal problems, crooked people in charge 

of a country full of dreamers there are other problems at large

Teenage opionions are often thrown aside, adults are to hardhead and filled with too much pride

to listen to the words of teens who are hurting the lack of empaty is disconcerting

As a teenager in this nefarious society it is easy to get swept in things that cause anxiety

Our biggest problems are no longer simply falling and scraping out knee but instead its worrying if we will make it to age twenty three.

Participating in rallies and standing up for what you believe in makes a differnece that's how it has always been

Supporting individuals who are couagrous enough to speak out is what being a 21st century teen is all about
