Being 'You'
Are you being you?
Are you being true?
Do you say what your thinking,
Or just try to fit in?
Did you tell her how you feel?
Was it not a big enough deal?
Do you really like that top?
Or did you just buy it from the mainstream shop?
Do you feel trapped by your race, gender or sexuality?
Is this what we call humanity?
So speak out
Be you
We avoid the issues that the world is facing
We waste our time contemplating
Stop judging and smile as you walk by
what's the harming in giving it a try
A nice word or smile can make someone's day
So why not go and say 'hey'
Your presence has an impact, maybe more of one than you know
so appreciate others feelings and let it show
Do you show passion for the things you do?
The question is who are 'you'?
