For Being You

The way you make me smile

The way you make me feel

Is this real? Is this happening?

As I look in your eyes,

are your intentions sincere?

or is it me trying to convince myself that they are?

You make me cry but yet...

Here I am by your side.

You've told me lies,

but its still with you that I confide.

I hate you,

I hate that I'm attached

I hate that I care for you

and that you don't.

I'm sorry I check up on you and make sure you're okay

I'm sorry that you have trust issues.

I'm sorry if you've been hurt before

But these are thing I shouldn't apologize for...

Because I love you despite your flaws

I love you despite your past

I love you for being you.
