Belief in Family

Location

I never thought that we would face the problems that we do.

I thought that we were perfect and were who the world looked up to.

It’s hard to try and understand what happened to us all,

And hard to grasp that we’re not perfect and we all will fall.

One year ago today, this was a happy place to be,

Where all would dance and laugh, and their hearts you could clearly see.

The saddest thing of all is that the joy today is faint,

But that’s okay because not one of us can be a saint.

It’s not that I am bitter of the things I have endured.

I only want to change them so I’ll feel reassured.

Believing that they’ll pull you through will help tremendously,

As long as you do not forget that they’re your family.
