Believe
I believed, that what I achieved was always within reach.
Stuck within dreams, believing in schemes
That promised me success
Meant always to impress
In a dress
With cinderella-esque
Aspirations
I was never fooled,
mislead to believe that my success was not what it seemed
I knew that it cost hard work
I knew every time I would land in the dirt
Expecting to get hurt, bruised, damaged
That it would all be worth it in the end
I knew I did not need fairy-tale scenarios
I just needed you
To make my dream come true
To show me that I could do this on my own
But that we're better as two
And anything we do
Is better together
