Believer

Listen to the beating of my heart
The thundering silence fell apart
A wave pulsing through my veins
Broken is the girl of what remains

Solid air so suffocating
Freedom is not liberating
All alone a silent cry
Then diamonds lit up the sky

The moons caress
With stars that bless
The midnight array
I have lost my way

Wishing on a shooting star
Up so high and oh so far
But without doubt
Scream and shout

Dream on, dreamer
I'm a believer
To fulfill oneself
Be true to yourself

I stayed strong
When everything went wrong
Memories of pain
Used to drive me insane

But something changed within
I forgave all of my sins
I never looked back
I was on the right track

Dream on, dreamer
I'm a believer
To fulfill oneself
Be true to yourself

I chose my path
After the aftermath
I am stronger than before
I lost the battle, not the war
