Belongings

With every mistake I collected it. Bit by bit it was displayed inside Me. A hideous invisible gallery. Hatred. Blame. Confusion. Frustration. Loneliness. Insecurities. Didn’t understand why I did The things I did. Why I failed. Why I loved. Why I lost. Why I lived. Why. Why. Why. I needed to know. I released the pain through words. Sat down and explained me to myself. Untangled the mess inside, in my room In a notebook, Next to equations during Math class. On the front porch in the Morning or late at night in my bed. The world around me dissolved for a Moment as I opened my own eyes. As I immortalized my life, my choices, And the world around me onto paper. I no longer had to hold it all inside me. I could let the paper borrow it. Let it Go for a while. Share it all with the world If I so chose. With the release of all of These things, I collected something new. Freedom.
