Beloved, Covered in Stones
I feel terrible for
Using you
I feel grief and mourning
For losing you
My beloved,
Hated by many
Yet loved by
One,
Yet the beloved one
Who was given a
Crown arrayed in
Flowers,
Beat you, asked
Who hit you, and
Gave you a
Crown of thorns
When you held
That shopping
Cart
What were you
Shopping for?
A girlfriend,
Who left the
Fridge as
Empty as the
Desert you
Wandered in,
With cacti poking
Your every step?
Or perhaps
Some food to
Supply you
In your
Never-ending journey
Full of cacti.
You said your piece
And we gave you
A crown of stones
Clothed all over
Your body,
And despite the
Stones thrown by
Goliath,
You, David, had
Prayed with your
Last two breaths,
That avenged you
With their heart-shaped
Stones,
God slinging your
Breaths,
Cutting Goliath's
Head off,
For your beloved
Hands to carry.
