Beloved Gem

On an island surrounded by the eternal sea,

What a precious jewel I keep with me.

This stone carved in an image of perfection,

It’s beauty not weighed by its outward complexion;

But rather its internal will to provide kindness,

Fortunately, many passed by due to their blindness.

 What luck I was given, for us to be secluded.

I would not care to bring even a most prized movie or book;

Its knowledge and influence are boundless, once you look.

Why bring an ample supply or a cherished food or sweet,

When it nourishes my soul, and brings flight to my feet?

I choose love over things,

Because what possibility adventure it brings.

This island will be full of heart and passion,

When my jewel and I give it life in an intertwined fashion;

This raw, untouched environment allows love to not be deluded.

He is called my jewel that came from above’

Because who could be richer, than a man with love?
