Beneath the Summer Skies
Beneath the summer skies a world is moving.
There are trees that sway and kids that play,
Ice cream is licked and summer camps are picked.
Beneath the summer skies.
There are no rules only pools,
the beach is fun, sand castles in the sun
and water that splishes and
splashes.
Your cheeks are rosy and your hair is a mess and
water is glued to your eyelashes.
But when the school bell rings, and the kids are gone and the snow starts to form and fall
onto the
lawn,
you know its time, to wave goodbye, and bid the summer adieu.
and the pools are closed to be opened again in the spring just for you.
After school you run home to play, and finish up your boring day
and the same thing happens for the rest of the year.
But when school is done its time to have fun, again like you did back then.
Because when trees sway and kids play. Ice cream is licked and summer camps are
picked.
There are no rules only pools.
You make sand- castles in the sun and have beach time fun.
you know what time it is, because when you look up, from your lemonade cup, and you stop
eating
your pie you'll see somethin', that will make you grin.
Beneath the summer skies.
