Beside Myself

I've written enough Of who I am, Of who I'm not, What I am, What I'm not, Queried by the people Who decide for me If I'm queer, If I'm not; Peer reviewed. Peerless thoughts By these peers; These peers are not, Not queers like me. They can choose; I don't care; I won't listen If they dare To tell me Who I am and have to be. I'm gonna be me.
