Best friend

Her beautiful eyes shine now like the sun;

her voice is sweet, even the tell of lies;

all of my heart and life, she has won;

when with you and I, the time always flies.

Her name is like a song of beauty for birds;

the cheeks upon her face like a faint red;

to explain her presence, I'm without words;

if not her be with me, I'll only dread.

She is most like a sisiter, my best friend;

forever friends we'll be, of that I know;

I would hope our friendship will never end;

but I know soon, away from me you'll go.

To beg you to stay, I will never dare;

but nothing in this world, to me, compare.
