Best Friend

What happens when you’re gone?

There is a hole.

A black hole that sucks

Love and Joy and Good

From the world.

But,

Like with all life,

We move on,

The hole is hidden

Under the illusion of

Our mundane life.

We move on,

but we also look back.

I am there for you,

Even if, sometimes, I

Question if you’re there for me.

(But that is more my fault than yours)

You experience the worst of life.

I cannot do as I wish,

And hug the hurt away.

Your pain is my pain.

My best friend,

My sister,

My soul mate.

When we separated,

I felt loss.

When we met,

For very brief moments,

I felt torture.

While you silently bore

The pain of life,

I felt you

On the deepest level.

My best friend,

My sister,

My soul mate.

Your pain is my pain.

But my joy is your joy.

When we meet again,

Your world will be

Nothing but Light.
