Best Friend

Laying eyes on

you

For the first time

I already felt like our souls were intertwined

We were meant to be together for a lifetime

Tears and hardtimes

Never ending love radiating from your eyes

Through the cold nights of winter

you

Never left my side

Until the day you had to die

I remember the screeching tires and your valiant cry

My screams

Into my life

Then out of it

Like a shooting star

Sometimes I still think I see

you

Maybe I will again someday

Thank

you

For picking me up when I was down

Being my friend when no one was around

Loneliness was never lonely with

you

This poem is about:
Me
My family
