Best Friend

You and me, attached at the hip since elementary

We spent so much time with one another people thought we were sisters

But those were simpler times, easy times

Now were in high school where everything is big and scary

And you've changed but I'm not sure for the better

We still laugh and joke and goof around

But I'm afarid

Afraid of telling you test scores for fear of being put down

Afraid to say things in fear of how youll react

I feel blamed and scrutinized if I don't stay in my place

But graduation is coming and the end draws near

I'm going one way while you choose another

I feel this is best we are adventuring from each other

I know in the long run it's what we both need

You're still my best friend and I could'nt thank you more for all you did
