Best Mistake

It’s been 3 weeks since our last talk

although I have been trying to go out for a walk

I find myself lost without your hand

I guess, you were never able to understand

my pain. I wanted to sleep

with tears I can no longer keep.

Why did I do wrong?

How come you’re still strong?

After all of our melancholic kisses.

I think and say “what if I’m all he misses”

Just come and lay with me

It’s been 2 months since I last saw you

I've tried to recover the sweet love that we knew

by waking up with the thought of you

but I know our love flew

away from you, away from me

But I knew how it was going to be

I knew the traps were set by me

Just me

But now?

I am free
