The Best Mistake I Ever Made

Every kiss, every touch,

Seemed like a gift from above.

I was totally unguarded,

Completely and thoughtlessly passionate.

Now you've stolen my heart

And run away with it

And you left a big hole in my chest.

I don't know if this is your fault,

But I'd do it all over again.

The sweet things you whispered to me,

The soft comfort of your hugs,

The times you said "I love you."

It was worth all the heartbreak.

You told me I was beautiful,

And I almost believed you.

You looked at me like I was precious,

And I felt like glowing.

You're the best mistake I ever made,

And I wish I could make it again.
