Best Part of the Days
Hot, spicy, crunchy, food
Made me want more of it, but I knew better.
You devour the meal so no one catches an attitude
Since everyone on the ship seems to steal, which becomes their scarlet letter.
The rice, steamy hot
With the beans decorating it like pebbles on a road.
The corn very sweet that together with the yams, it hits in a soft spot
Which makes the biscuits orbit in the mouth and explode.
Days when eating are the best
Because it gives you peace unlike the others.
You become an example, my own personal test
Where I can mimic your example better than my former ancestors.
