Best Version
Who is this me that I'd prefer to be? Who is this she? I saw something that said "Be the best version of yourself"...So I printed it in color, although...my mother-would flip. So I have to shoot from the hip, as I dream of biting your lip. And then I sit...and sit, in the pew, feeling that this feeling I feel is literally real. I know it was for you too. It's like after you, I dyed myself completely blue. A hue I maintain to this day. Without-without the forehead kisses and appreciation for each other's crows feet...but mostly...just because with you, I'm the best version of me, the best she I can be.
