The Best For You From Me

Your heart is broken,
but it still manages to keep beating.
Your tears are falling,
but you still manage to keep smiling.

Your hopes are gone,
but look at what you’ve done.
You’ve made it this far,
even though you’ve made scars.

You have to keep fighting,
you have to keep trying,
and for you, these poems,
I’ll keep writing.

You feel like things are going wrong,
but know that besides all this,
you’re still strong.

Even though the demons that
you’re dealing with are rough,
you are still good enough.

I love you, and you don’t have
to feel the same, you see,
because as long as you’re safe,
healthy, and happy, that’s already
more than enough for me.
