Betrayal

The space between two heartbeats is where my love for you lies. It is a space filled with silence, a harrowing quiet. A space where love used to live before betrayal grabbed her by the neck and strangled her. I thought that you were the one and that I could trust you. Sadly, so often we find out in life the ones we thought we could trust are our biggest enemies. Why did you want to become my enemy?
