Betrayal

Cold daggers

Blood trickling

Were it a knife that cut me this deep

Heart stopping

Dark light approaches

Those eyes beg forgiveness

Like a dog’s for a bone

I’m empty

Alone

…

Trust has been shattered

Our wires disconnected

The signals lost

You’ve sane me

I gave you my heart

It beat in your arms

You bit it

Like an apple

Its sweet flesh gave

You a hunger for blood

It’s one thing to lose a lover

Quite another a friend

You’ve severed our cord

I bleed out

You say you’d take it all back

You can’t sew this wound closed

I’m snow

I fall
