The Betrayal

The scars I wear,

show the war

in my head.

The fights against

the demons.

The war that I

am losing.

My trust,

I gave to you.

I opened up

as much as I could

I showed you

my pain,

my suffering,

my hatred.

Six little scars

on my arm.

I tell you when

they were born.

When the rose

from my pain.

And you,

You doubted me.

After all I

told you.

After I came

to you.

Pleading for help.

I want help.

I need help.

You took

my trust.

You betrayed it.

Those simple words.

Are you lying to me?

Why would I lie

to you?

When all I want

is help?

Please tell me,

Why would I lie?

I need your help.

I’m begging,

pleading for you

to tell me the truth.

Like I told you.

So I can receive

the help that I

so desperately

need.
