Betrayal

Further and further they surrounded me

The words wrapped tighter around my neck

It was a black snake

Darkness

Closer and closer it had gotten each day

Creeping up on me from behind

I never expected it this bad

Agony

I was scared

Everything was lost

I was fighting the words as they stuck to me

Looking and looking I finally found the light

It was within reach

On my path

Future

Time and time again I’ll fall open for the devil

Reminders of the new slam the door

Better is near and needs sought out

Care
