Betrayal of a Best Friend

I was there for you when you needed  me.
I helped you when help was needed.
I laughed when you needed to hear joyful cheer.
I listened to you cry and gave you comfort.
So tell me why you ignore me now?
Why do you tell people lies about me?
If you were anyone else it would be different.
But you were my best friend.
You know that, everyone does.
It hurts when i don't even know what i did to deserve this.
I had to have done something,
for i can't imagine you so heartless.
But this betrayal hurts,
this betrayal of a best friend.
