Betrayed
Years and years go by,
Not a glitch in sight
One day everything goes from great,
To not alright.
Each day I wait
Hoping, wishing, praying
The phone would ring.
You.
Your voice on the other line.
I loved you but now there too much to mend.
All the pain and heartache,
Because you’re too stubborn to understand.
I try to forget you as much as I can.
I want to be able to change the past.
Unfortunately, that cannot be done.
What happened happened and what’s done is done.
I know you’ll be rich and famous one day.
You’ve always had it in you from the very first day.
All the writing and recording that was put in each day.
All the good times we had. I’ll never forget those days.
It makes me sad to know that you feel betrayed.
Betrayed, screwed over, whatever you want to call it.
I know the truth, you just didn’t want it.
Always having to have the last word,
It’s what you know best.
But in the end, it was just a huge mess.
I put my life on the line and this is how you repay me.
Trying to sabotage what I have. Bitch, you are just plain crazy.
We went through a lot and now go our separate ways.
Now that it’s the end, we were both just betrayed.
