Better Days

They don't like to see us black and educated want us to follow their system see us tainted all I can say is I'm glad we made it's sad how my people are hated feels like this world still segregated.

Baby girl don't let them put you down lil mama smile wear your crown proud making fun of your brown skin just know black is beautiful suitable just for you I think you a ten but you claim you a two you are a work of art you gonna achieve be the best you could ever be.

lil mama getting bullied at school in depression it's okay here's the question what they gonma do when you a boss what they gonna do when you stand tall what they gonna do when you got inspiration they gon see your creation

Lift ya head up it's gonna be better days
It's going to be a better world a day better time better a place you know god makes no mistakes but wondering why the hate

Now boy I know it's hard looking at you like a criminal but they only look at your visual the brown skin dark eyes thinking you out of line
They don't know you got a heart they don't see your brains want to see you in chains always picking our people apart  we  stand strong you're not in this alone
987 ppl killed by police in the past year if the roles were switched it be mad in this world  all he was doing was walking down the street
Police killing all my people they don't like my people we can help it it's in our genetics.
