Better Future
A mother who abuses her child
love so strong, so painful, very mild
alcoholic father who is on his second D.U.I
you have one more strike till you're out of my life.
The love from the two so strong, but yet so hard to reach
am I not good enough why can't they take care of me?
Raised by the ones who birthed my parents,
Mannerism, class, and hardwork
all were something that had to be present
thankful for what I have today
worried about the ones in need every day.
Living in a generation so careless,
encourages me to work hard and neverless
refusing to settle for the bare minimum
college is where I shall learn an advanced cirriculum
getting my Phd in densitry
I will be the best that I can be.
Years down the line
I will meet the prince charming of mine,
one that is goal motivated,
head stong and will never keep hard work waiting.
We shall raise our children together,
not having the same childhood as me but something better.
I praise the Lord to not make the same mistakes my parents made;
give their child up for something that will only result them being in a grave.
the motivation I have is extrodinary,
study and study till I get ready.
High school graduation is 394 days away,
While AP testing is only in nine.
Life will be better in time,
but for now I will focus on education
for the future of mine.
Sorrow will leave my soul,
15 years from now, I will highly educated and successful.
