Better than I Hoped
days would go by sad and alone,
away at school missing home.
staying up just to think
this life of mine is rinky-dink.
whats my purpouse i would say
nothing came day after day.
never thinking it would come
id crack open a bottleof rum.
but one day isaw the light,
the answer came to my delight.
you must believe your purpose is true
believing is allyou have to do.
then the army came calling
my bad luck started falling
i met a girl of the upmost beauty
i must say shes quite the cutie
i started to see the good in things
making me want to dance and sing
my purpose i could finally see
from the sadness i was finally free.
